Our inaugural concert summer at the Meadow has come to an end. As has the flooding disaster that has plagued Pierre for months. The kids are back in school and you finally have a little time to yourself. Well, breathe in that autumnal air, take a nice long walk in the beautiful South Dakotan foothills and come back home refreshed and ready to participate in the recovery effort. Oahe Dam Releases Continue to Decrease! Release is expected to be down to 55,000 cubic feet / second by September 23rd. — Capitol Journal.
The City of Pierre’s landfill baling facility is now accepting sandbags around the clock, people with pallets of sandbags should contact the baling facility at (605) 773‑7434 to make delivery arrangements and ensure a forklift is available for assistance. — City of Pierre

Flood Cleanup Weekends — Volunteers interested in helping remove sandbags from homes should call the Flood Recovery Helpline at 224‑1189 and that is also the same number that homeowners should call if they need assistance.
